When wellness and design intertwine, the result can be transformative. That’s precisely the case with Mana Hotels Unified Brand Identity, a thoughtful rebranding project executed by andstudio for the Mana retreat properties in Lithuania. Faced with the unique challenge of uniting two distinctly different hotel experiences under a single brand, the studio crafted a visual and emotional language that embraces contrast while fostering connection.
Mana Hotels comprises two locations: Mana Suites & Sea, located along the sun-drenched Palanga coast, and Mana Sleep & Spa, nestled in the serene forests of Druskininkai. Each embodies a unique rhythm and emotional tone.
Mana Suites & Sea is all about brightness, family moments, and the energizing flow of movement and light. In contrast, Mana Sleep & Spa invites deep rest and introspection, where silence, darkness, and slow rituals take center stage. While both retreats operate under the Mana name, their experiences are intentionally distinct.
andstudio’s task was to design a brand identity that didn’t blur these differences but rather celebrated them—an identity that could hold space for both vibrant daylight and introspective night.
The cornerstone of the new identity is the natural rhythm of day and night, represented through symbols of the sun and the moon. This cyclical theme offers both a poetic and practical structure to connect the two hotels while visually distinguishing their atmospheres.
The sun-inspired logo evokes vitality and approachability, while carefully chosen color palettes mirror the environments: warm, sandy hues for the seaside energy of Palanga, and deep, twilight tones for the forest serenity of Druskininkai.
Photography by Martyna Paukštė plays a crucial role in the brand narrative. Her imagery captures quiet, genuine moments of presence, reinforcing Mana’s commitment to real human connection and immersive relaxation. A motion identity system adds a dynamic element that reflects the brand’s evolving take on hospitality.
The outcome is a brand that feels as restorative as the experiences it represents. andstudio has redefined Mana as a modern wellness destination, where authentic connection and natural rhythm guide every touchpoint. Whether guests seek sunlit vitality or moonlit calm, they’re welcomed into one cohesive, nurturing world.
