How andstudio Reimagined the Lithuanian Culture Institute Through the Idea of Resonance

As Lithuanian culture continues to strengthen its presence on the global stage, the Lithuanian Culture Institute partnered with andstudio to create a visual identity capable of reflecting the scale, relevance, and contemporary nature of its mission. The Vilnius-based creative agency developed a dynamic branding system built around the idea of resonance, translating cultural exchange into a flexible visual language that communicates connection, visibility, and international collaboration.

Established by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania, the Lithuanian Culture Institute promotes Lithuanian culture and professional arts abroad through international partnerships, translation initiatives, cultural programmes, and collaborations with artists and institutions worldwide. As the organization expanded its activities, it needed an identity that could better communicate the diversity and impact of its work while remaining distinctive and adaptable across different contexts.
The new identity is rooted in the concept of resonance, representing the moment when Lithuanian culture meets international audiences and creates meaningful connections. Rather than relying on conventional cultural symbols, the system focuses on the spread of ideas, dialogue, and exchange, reflecting the Institute’s role as a bridge between Lithuania and the wider cultural landscape.

To bring this concept to life, andstudio created a custom digital brush inspired by the logo itself. This graphic tool generates a versatile visual language composed of bold geometric forms, scattered compositions, stylized typography, and symmetrical elements. The system is designed to evolve across multiple applications while maintaining a strong and recognizable character.
The result is an identity that feels contemporary, open, and highly flexible. It allows the Institute to communicate a broad range of cultural initiatives through a coherent visual framework that reflects movement, interaction, and discovery.
