CoType Foundry introduces Aeonik Soft, the latest evolution within the acclaimed Aeonik superfamily. Known for its clarity and geometric precision, the original Aeonik established itself as a modern neo-grotesque workhorse. Aeonik Soft builds on that foundation, gently reshaping its tone while preserving its structural intelligence.
Rather than reinventing the system, Aeonik Soft refines it. The result is a typeface that feels more approachable, expressive, and emotionally versatile—without compromising the mechanical backbone that defines Aeonik’s identity.

Rather than functioning as a traditionally rounded typeface, Aeonik Soft maintains the logic and discipline of its parent while adding warmth and approachability. The result is a typeface that feels more expressive and adaptable, capable of moving effortlessly between editorial design, identity systems, packaging, UI environments, and even children’s content. It preserves modern functionality while introducing a softer, more human voice.
The family is available in eight weights, from Air to Black, each with matching italics, and includes a fully functional variable font for precise typographic control. Language support spans Latin, Vietnamese, Cyrillic, and Greek, with selectable options at checkout. Aeonik Soft is equipped with comprehensive OpenType features such as discretionary ligatures, old-style and tabular numerals, fractions, case-sensitive punctuation, symbols, geometric shapes, circled numerals, arrows, and stylistic sets offering alternate forms for key characters like “a,” “t,” and “j” across multiple scripts.

Designed to perform consistently across sizes and media, Aeonik Soft brings balance to branding, warmth to interface design, and a relaxed confidence to extended text. Free variable fonts are included with full-family purchases. As with all releases from CoType®, the London-based foundry of Mark Bloom and Co., the typeface reflects a commitment to contemporary typography for digital and print applications, with trial fonts available across the library and options for bespoke type development.
