Launching in early 2026, 98 Social Club is an editorial platform created by French digital strategist and content creator Galliane Grand. Designed as a singular voice rather than a collective or agency, the project examines the defining tensions of millennial and Gen Z life through cultural commentary on digital culture, mental wellness, spirituality, relationships, and social media literacy. It focuses on topics often oversimplified in mainstream narratives, such as secular spirituality, the digitization of mental health, the paradox of choice in modern romance, performative authenticity online, shifting gender expectations, and the cognitive overload of constant content consumption.
To shape this perspective into a clear visual identity, the project collaborated with French Brand & Web Designer Walid El Bettioui, based in Bordeaux. Known for translating complex ideas into accessible design systems, Walid developed an identity centered on a distinctive monogram in which the number “98” becomes both logo and icon. Its curved, organic forms reference speech bubbles and informal communication while retaining geometric clarity, echoing the platform’s mission to speak openly and intelligently about social dynamics.

The color palette is anchored by a confident red, conveying urgency and emotional honesty, balanced by cream and black to create warmth and approachability. Typography pairs rounded, friendly forms with clean sans-serifs, maintaining a tension between accessibility and editorial authority. A signature layer of textured overlays and grain effects draws on early-2000s digital aesthetics, reinterpreting Y2K nostalgia through a contemporary lens across photography, patterns, and social content.

With over three years of experience in branding, UX/UI design, and web development, Walid works independently with startups and scale-ups across Europe, particularly in cultural and digital sectors. Previously featured in Bounty Hunters Magazine, he combines strategic thinking with craft execution to build distinctive identities that foster genuine connection while preserving clarity and purpose. In 98 Social Club, his approach results in a visual language that does more than frame the platform—it embodies the nuanced, reflective conversations it aims to spark.
